Type Approval
As an accredited Technical Service for the Dutch RDW, UK VCA, Irish NSAI and Taiwanese VSCC, we can help you gain type approval against a wide range of automotive UNECE regulations.
In particular, we’re well-versed in certifying ADAS, e-mobility systems, vehicles and products for these approval authorities.
As a certification service, we’re fully independent from HORIBA MIRA’s test and engineering teams. This gives us the flexibility to carry out testing either at HORIBA MIRA’s proving ground, or at a site of your choice for selected subject areas. And our service covers everything from planning and witnessing tests, to completing all the relevant certification paperwork and liaising with the approval authority.
If you’re already registered with a different approval authority, you can still take full advantage of HORIBA MIRA’s world-class testing facilities. Our flexible approach means that we can carry out a comprehensive range of testing, with a third-party witness from the relevant authority.
General Safety Requirements 2 (GSR2)
