HORIBA MIRA and HORIBA UK win prestigious global JLR supplier award
HORIBA MIRA and HORIBA UK have won an award from JLR (Jaguar Land Rover) at its seventh annual Global Supplier Excellence Awards.
Claiming the award for ‘Integrity’ at the event, the two HORIBA Group companies, based in Nuneaton and Northampton respectively, were chosen from thousands of suppliers and celebrated by JLR for outstanding achievements as part of its global supply chain.
The annual Supplier Excellence Awards took place at The Grove, Hertfordshire with guest host, Gabby Logan and attendance by senior executives including JLR CEO, Adrian Mardell. All winners were recognised for their extraordinary contribution to JLR’s business, cost transformation and operational delivery over the course of the last year.
This year, the Supplier Excellence Awards were based on the recently introduced Creators’ Code values at JLR. JLR’s purpose is to ‘Live the Exceptional with Soul’ by being the proud creators of modern luxury and an integral part of this is being guided by a set of behaviours that they call their Creators’ Code: Customer Love; Unity; Integrity; Growth; Impact. This year the team used these five core values to award their top performing suppliers.
The Integrity Award rewards suppliers who build trust by speaking openly and honestly, always treating others with respect.
Stephen Webber, Test Services Director at HORIBA MIRA, said: “We’re extremely proud to receive this recognition, JLR is a trusted and valued customer and the legacies of both our companies are deeply intertwined, as are our teams. We work incredibly hard to consistently deliver brilliantly, building strong relationships whilst operating with integrity, and honesty, so we’re really delighted to be recognised with this award.”
Richard Carter, Executive Director at HORIBA UK, said: “It is a great honour to be presented with this award. Respect and integrity are core values of HORIBA UK and an integral part of how we build trusted relations with our partners. Working with JLR as part of their team for over 35 years by providing them with cutting-edge measurement and analytical solutions as well as world class customer support has always been based on these principles and delivering value. HORIBA celebrates 70 years of authentic excellence this year and we couldn’t be prouder for winning this award.”
Tobias Moch, JLR Chief Procurement Officer, commented: “A great business relationship is crucial to our success, and the relationship with our suppliers is based on performance as well as integrity, honesty and trust. Last night was all about celebrating our very best suppliers and thanking them for their hard work and commitment over the past year. Having only joined the JLR team recently, it was an honor to spend the evening getting to know the award winners better. I know how difficult the past 12 months have been. The teams have had to work very hard to keep our factories running, in the face of severe disruptions to the global supply chain. A big thank you to everyone involved for their massive efforts during this difficult period.”
