MIRA Attends Automotive Testing Expo Europe 2012
MIRA showcased the highly anticipated MIRA Technology Park (MTP) development at Automotive Testing Expo Europe 2012 in Stuttgart, Germany.
Held this year between the 12th to 14th June, the event attracted thousands of attendees from the global automotive industry. There was great interest in MIRA’s technology park development at the show including enquiries from existing customers, companies looking to establish R&D centres in the UK as well as government officials.
Terry Spall, MTP Commercial Director said,
“Events like Automotive Testing Expo are an excellent way for MIRA to communicate the exciting MTP message to the outside world. During the show we have made contact with a number of automotive companies who find the proposition of a UK research and development (R&D) base at MIRA very interesting.
Many of these companies are developing closer ties with UK automotive OEMs. So a Midlands location with access to MIRA’s proving ground, test facilities and engineering expertise is very exciting to them. The show also generated a number of enquiries for MIRA’s world-class engineering testing, development and consultancy services as well.”
During the show MIRA also showcased the first building to be completed as part of the £300 million expansion programme. The new Control Centre Building with its four storey office block, six configurable 234m2 secure workshops and conferencing facilities sets the standard for the on-going MTP development.
